With the introduction of the 8HP clutchkick feature, attention will be drawn to our 8HP control option, which will most likely attract Drifters.
The digital input function Clutchkick is used to release clutch pressure when input is active, to emulate a virtual clutch that can kick up the rear end of the vehicle.
Since most drifters uses handbrake to lock rear wheels (driveshaft speed = 0) at higher speeds, the automatic downshift in manual MUST be prevented.
Drifters MUST enable this feature, which is available in the binary4 8HP TCU firmware and the latest MTune 1.154.
Note: Failure to enable the above feature, driving at higher speeds, and locking the rear wheels can result in the gearbox engaging gear1, damaging things.
