ecu supply settings

Only available for MaxxECU GEN2 RACE

12V 1 is always ECU Supply. 12V 1 must always be present to run the engine, but the ECU can be ON, communicate with MTune, CAN bus, and control all inputs/outputs with other 12V inputs active, and the 12V 2 input off.

For most setups, only 12V 1 is required. The other two inputs can be left unconnected or connected to the same 12V source.

12V 1, 12V 2, and 12V 3 have separate ideal input diodes that prevent current from flowing from one input to another.

Supply functions for 12V 2/3:

ECU Supply: Input is used to supply operating current to the ECU, H-bridge drivers, and 12V output drivers. Powering on these inputs will put the ECU in full operating mode.

Ignition key 12V: This is an input that powers up the ECU and acts as the key-on signal for power hold circuits that lets the ECU close the main supply relay. NOTE: The use of the ignition key signal is optional and only needed if you want the ECU to be powered on a time after turning off the ignition key.

Constant 12V: Charges the internal timekeeping capacitor. Only needed if you want correct date/time(Real Time Clock) in logs on vehicles parked for a long time. The ECU will be off if 12V is only available on this pin.

12v 2 supply function

Defines the function of the 12V Supply 2 input on the MaxxECU GEN2 RACE .

12v 3 supply function

Defines the function of the 12V Supply 3 input on the MaxxECU GEN2 RACE.

Note: 12V Supply 3 cannot be used as an ECU supply input, only as an ignition key input or constant 12V input for charging the internal supercapacitor.
