Advanced warning outputs

Scroll Prev Top Next More

A flexible function to warn and alert user on user defined warning levels, with the ability to cut the engine to prevent engine damages.

Note: MaxxECU 1.107 firmwares and newer does not requires an output to be activated as warning system light level 1 /2 for this function to be visible in MTune.

Note: MaxxECU 1.107 firmwares and newer do support "engine cut options per channel settings".

ADvanced warning outputs

Enable warning system

Enables or disables the advanced warning system.

output mode

How the activated output will behave upon errors.

Separate constant outputs per level - Requires two outputs to be activated (ex. 2 warning lights, one for each level). Each output is triggered on each level.

Flash at level 1, constant at level 2 - Only one output needs to activated as warning light.

Note: (Used only if Warning system light level 1/2 or warning light is activated as outputs).

Used channels

Specifies how many warning channels to be used.

Set CEL-codes

Whether to display error codes upon level 1/2. Will also alert MDash Android app (if connected).

Load conditions (used for warnings only during load)

Load condition min RPM

Specifies the minimum RPM needed for the system to be considered "under load".

Load condition min TPS

Specifies the minimum TPS needed for the system to be considered "under load".

Load condition min MAP

Specifies the minimum MAP needed for the system to be considered "under load".

Engine power cut when above level 2

Enable engine cut

Enable or disable engine cut when level 2 warning is reached.

disabled - No engine cuts.

enable - Enables engine cuts when conditions are met and warning level 2 is active.

enabled by digital input - Enables engine cuts when conditions are met and warning level 2 is active, if the digital input function Advanced Warning System, Enable Cut is active.

Note: Make sure you use this feature where loss of power is considered safe.

Cut delay

Specifies delay before an actual cut in seconds.

Cut above RPM

Only cut above specified RPM.

Cut above TPS

Only cut above specified TPS.

minimum engine run time

Minimum engine run time before any of the warning channels activates.

Warning channel x

Value

Selects engine data value to be used.

Note: ALL MaxxECU RealTime Data values can be used in this warning system, which mean the possibilities are limited to your own fantasy...

warning if

Too low - If the VALUE is lower than warning level value(s), trigger system level(s).

Too high - If the VALUE is higher than warning level value(s), trigger system level(s).

Too low on load - If the VALUE is lower than warning level value(s), trigger system level(s) if load conditions are met.

Too high on load - If the VALUE is higher than warning level value(s), trigger system level(s) if load conditions are met.

Too low, not during launch ctrl - If the VALUE is lower than warning level value(s), trigger system level(s) if load conditions are met, but not if launch control is activated.

Too high, not during launch ctrl - If the VALUE is higher than warning level value(s), trigger system level(s) if load conditions are met, but not if launch control is activated.

Too low at load, not during launch ctrl - If the VALUE is lower than warning level value(s), trigger system level(s) if load conditions are met, but not if launch control is activated.

Too high at load, not during launch ctrl - If the VALUE is higher than warning level value(s), trigger system level(s) if load conditions are met, but not if launch control is activated.

Note: During launch control, it's normal to have difference in EGTs, therefore we added this functionality for those who uses the EGT difference value as a warning channel.

warning level 1

Sets the warning level 1 value.

warning level 2

Sets the warning level 2 value.

delay

Sets the warning level 1/2 delay time before the warning is triggered.

cut above level 2

Enable or disable engine cut when level 2 warning is reached on the selected channel.

Note: Make sure you use this feature when loss of power is considered safe.
