After launch power limit (ALPL)

Scroll Back Prev Top Next More

Functionality to reduce engine power (and optimizer starts in drag racing applications) after launch control and ramp power back during a specific time-period.

Note: This functions requires the launch control function to be used.

Switch activation can be triggered by either a physical digital input or using the Internal output system.

After launch power limit

Enable

Enable or disable the ALPL function.

Power cut

Specifies power cut method

Ignition - Drop ignition and/or retard ignition timing advance from the below tables.

Fuel - Drop fuel to reduce engine power. <-- use with caution.

Activation conditions

Min launch time

Specifies the time (in seconds) the launch control must be activated to activate this the ALPL function to prevent incidental activation.

Min speed

Specifies the minimum speed the vehicle must achieve to activate this function. If no speed sensor is not mounted, enter 0 and time will be counted when launch button is released.

Min TPS

Specifies the minimum TPS value to activate the system. If throttle is released during power limit, the system will not be reactivated until next launch control.

Power limit

Ignition retard

Specifies ignition retard vs time after launch.

Note: The last (most right) cell MUST be 0 degree.

Spark/fuel drop

Power limit with "event drop" vs time after launch. 100% = shut off.

Note: The last (most right) cell MUST be 0 degree.

Examples

clip0359

The above example will retard AND drop ignition to reduce engine power when the system senses wheel speed.
